Is this what silence means

Or is this just sound

Is this actually earth

Or somewhere underground

Is this all real

Or are we just fake

Am I in someone’s dream

Or am I actually awake

What’s right and what’s wrong

Who gets to decide

Is there really an angel

Always by my side

How do I believe

What people have to say

How can I even trust

When the world is this way

Different or unique

Who hosts this game

Who are we to judge

This stupidity of fame

How do I differentiate

Happy with depressed

I can’t understand at all

And today I have confessed

Is love a real thing

How can we define

Is it a distraction

Or does it make you shine

Whom do I trust

In this world full of lies

How can I know

Who’s cunning and who’s wise

Feel like giving up

I have no dream of my own

I’m living life for others

And from inside I’m torn

This poem seems messed up

But I guess I can be excused

Because I’m just a teenager

And I’m really really confused.
