Well, this is not the promotion of the two brands but rather the the hidden question that all the girls want to know the answer to.

It’s 2019 and we all have somewhat learned to be independent. However, a basic start is something that we shy away from. Why?

Ladies, it is our turn to take over the world and conquer it, do justice to ourselves. Why are we afraid of our choices. Honestly, why do we have to think so much about a regular issue, when it's not even an issue, HELLO?

Why do we carry sanitary napkins in black polythenes? Here’s talking about one such choice that I made. I actually wanted to carry out this small test and myself see where we as a society stand.

My grandmother was critical about the time when I carried an uncovered sanitary napkin packet in my hand. To be honest, I felt quite cool, heroic to do that, a Kinder Joy in the right hand and in the left hand, the pads. They are such a contrast.

One represents Childhood and another Womanhood. I am at the intermediate of the two, Most of us are. But I don’t understand that in the first place why do I feel heroic after such a small act of rebellion. Isn’t it supposed to be normal?

I saw people looking at my left hand. At least they didn't eye my chocolate.

That’s when I decided to write this. But just writing won’t help, action will.

There are so many other real issues to deal with, but no here is a world where people are judging women for a common necessity. WOW!

I think men are more open to all this. It’s us women who made it a big deal. Men might have just learned from us. You see, the shopkeeper initially had put the pads in the black polythene but after I told him not to, he didn’t hesitate (Yes, gave me a look-again; an acquired trait). He just gave it, didn’t preach, unlike my grandma.

Now, you can say shopkeeper was neither a person who I personally know nor a family member and that he had no business in preaching me, but here it goes, neither did my dad preach. I proudly told him about my chemist shop excursion.

My religious leaders says don't step in the kitchen and says I shouldn't be near my god this time of the month. I ask them a few simple questions.

How can the blood that was meant to create life be filthy? Why must I hide this superpower given to me?

What god is this that considers the blood of his daughters impure?

So Girls and Women, at menarche or menopause or anywhere in between, let’s not treat this condition any differently. Let's be independent on physical and mental terms. Today, let’s educate girls AND boys, not just say that boys are to be taught how to behave with girls, but let’s also teach girls how to treat themselves as truly independent.

We must stay free and not whisper, what do you say?
